They will appeal to the composition of the commission that should lead to the de-annexation of Usansolo
- The People of Usansolo (UH) makes an appearance in front of the City Hall of Galdakao. It denounces the position of the Mayor of Galdakao in the process of Usansolo’s de-annexation, such as the formation of the Joint Commission.
In June 2016, the road map was approved to guide the Usansolo de-annexation process. As signed therein, the Joint Commission would consist of six persons from Usansolo and Galdakao, three members each. The members of the Usansolo side were elected according to the results of the last municipal elections. As for the Galdakao side, it was specified that it will be composed of the mayor and two councilors.
The mayor of Galdakao organized a Spokesperson Committee in September and said that both local councillors’ representatives will be from the PNV. The members of the People of Usansolo (UH) have shown disagreement with this. In fact, it has been explained that “public affairs must be addressed in plenary sessions” in areas where citizens can attend.
Despite the search for consensus, the mayor and his team “do not have the will to develop the process in a democratic way”, explains UH. For this reason, they claim that they have “had no other choice” in resorting to legal channels.
Therefore, the UH has filed an appeal on the Mayor’s Decree for the appointment of members of the Usansolo Joint Committee. He asked the mayor for two things. First, the appointment of the members of the Joint Commission to render it null and void, because “it is not the competence of the mayor’s office.” And secondly, to invalidate even the Mayor’s Decree 1.462, which “does not respect the legal basis of political proportionality.”

Bizkaiko Foru Aldundiak men egin dio Batzar Nagusiek otsailaren 3an onartutakoari, eta 2012tik indarrean dagoen foru araua aldatzea onartu du. Arau horrek Bizkaian udal gehiago sortzea debekatzen du.
Udal berrien sorrera debekatzen duen araua aldatzeko proposamen bat egin dezan eskatuko diote Bizkaiko Batzar Nagusiek Aldundiari, EH Bilduren mozio bat onartu ondoren. Hala, apur bat hurbilago du Usansolok Galdakaotik bereizteko aukera.
Udalbatzak PSE-EEren mozioa onartu du. Sozialistek ez eze, Usansolo Herria, Bildu eta Galdakao Bizirik taldeek alde bozkatu dute. PPk ezezkoa eman du eta EAJ abstenitu egin da.
3.000 herritarrek zuten boto eskubidea Usansolo udalerri bihurtzeari buruzko galdeketan eta %73k bozkatu dute, horietatik %90ek desanexioaren alde. Galdeketa Usansolo Herria plataformak antolatu du eta ez du balio juridikorik.
