Human beings have never been easy to think calmly for long periods of time, we live with the responsibility of taking our lives forward, both ours and our descendants. In this opportunity that we have had to live, we want to do things as best we can. For these responsibilities, perhaps, for many teachers and politicians, the introduction of technology into education will help students better understand how the world works and create more opportunities for a good life. But there are technologies that are going to empower students and that are going to step on students. When teachers and society speak critically about the digitalization of education, they do so with that responsibility. It's not the fear of technology.

In an article published by Mikel García Idiakez in ARGIA (the Basque Government announces a process of debate on mobile phone use in classrooms), politicians say that teachers should not be afraid of artificial intelligence. I, as parents, don't see fear in the educational community, but the responsibility to do things right. The teaching staff is educating people, for every twenty years, with a complex process that involves educating a person for a good life in our society, and that within a very rigid structure in which students, with so many and so many particularities, have to be seated many hours.

To prove that artificial intelligence can shape the conception of the world, a chatbot has been created at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology debunkbot.com. It's a very interesting project, created to deal with bumps and conspiracy theories through data. But this same technology can also be used by those on the other side of the debate to drive another vision of the world. In view of this panorama, what our students and our society need of teachers is not to know the use of any technology that intercedes the screen, but to create environments that bring the students to think critically of reality, to create relationships and knowledge to build their own vision of the world.
