Thirst and thirst strikers have managed to halt "provisionally" the works of the A69 motorway in Occitania on 11 October. However, the macro-project is not definitely rejected and they call to "be attentive" to the Baiona concentration on the same day. Convened by the Ostia collective and united by Bizi!, about 70 people meet in front of the Casa Consistorial de Baiona.

This Friday, Tarn and Tolosa prlists and elected witnesses will meet to "make a point about the progress of the project and analyze the different perspectives". The meeting was organised by the French Ministry responsible for transport. Activists leave a hunger and thirst strike. Militant Thomas Brail started a hunger strike on 1 September in Paris. Since then, fifteen other ecologists joined the hunger strike and on Monday, three began the thirst strike.

Occupation of the Villa

In solidarity with the strikers, two members of Herribiltza carried out on Monday the occupation of the Donibane Garazi Consistorial House: "Those of us who work in Euskal Herria against the artificialization of lands and popular cultivation, what happens in us or outside we are equally excited."

From Baiona, they have also called for the Earth Uprisings to be linked to so-called collective action. On 21 and 22 October, they have called to block the highway works.
