Bilbao cemetery prepares space to bury 2,160 people in the Muslim community
- It will be aimed at all community members living in Bizkaia, anticipating the lack of space for cemeteries in other municipalities.
The Muslim community has a new space in the Municipal Cemetery of Bilbao.La new plot expands the space already used: It goes from 80 places to 2,160 places.
The project has been made possible by the reflection made within the Board of Participation in Religious Diversity. Moulay Taibi Badr, representative of the mosque, has shown his satisfaction this Tuesday for the space that comes to solve a historical demand of the collective: "We always had problems when someone dies. Bringing your body back costs a lot of money. There are people who can afford, but also the impossible."
