Israel attacked Egypt with the help of Great Britain and France. The Israelis invaded Egypt with 45,000 soldiers, and the British and French sent 80,000 military personnel to the country to reclaim the Suez canal and unrule the left Gamal Abdel Nasser.
It had just nationalised the Suez channel, removing from the hands of Europeans a space of geo-strategic importance. British aircraft bombed Cairo and the French destroyed Egyptian military aircraft. At the beginning of the attack, Nasser flooded 40 boats into the canal and blocked it for international trade until April 1957.
The United States, the Soviets and the UN demanded and had to take back French, English and Israeli. The fact is also known as a six-day war. Saudi Arabia stopped exporting oil to the EU and France. He humbled the facts to the EU and to France, speaking as EU Prime Minister Anthony Eden, and reinforced Nasser as an Arab leader against colonialism.
