Identity card
Itziar Mendizabal was born in Hondarribia on 14 December 1981. After working in the company run by Victor Ullate in Madrid between 1998 and 2002, he danced at the ballet of Zurich (Switzerland) between 2003 and 2006. From there he moved to the ballet of Leipzig (Germany) and in 2008 he was named solo number one of the series. Since 2010 he has been the number one soloist at the Royal Ballet in London.
