A week after the murder of Nahel, a young Frenchman, his third car companion, has publicly stated that no attempt was made to leave. In this way, the police have denied an extended version by many media outlets.
The third passenger explains that the French police stopped for driving by the bus and that from the very beginning the officers had an aggressive attitude: “When the police approached us in the car, they told us to turn off the engine or they would shoot us.” Then he explains that the two agents, first one and then the other, beat the minor with the gun head.
