Concentrated in Bilbao to demand the amnesty of Basque prisoners in the Spanish Government Delegation, in the Gasteiz Parliament and in the San Sebastian City Hall

In the Basque Parliament of Vitoria-Gasteiz, in the Delegation of the Government of Bilbao and in the City Hall of San Sebastian, the members of the Askatasuna organisation have joined at the same time on Saturday to "denounce the harassment of Basque political prisoners and claim all amnesty". In Pamplona, attempts have also been made to chain two members into the Spanish Government Delegation, but the presence of the Spanish Police has meant that they have not succeeded. They also report the march to Zaballa prison on 30 December, denouncing the “cruel prison policy” suffered by prisoners, who will meet at 12:00 noon in the roundabout under Zaballa.
The Askatasuna organization has pointed out that the Spanish and French states continue to hold many political prisoners in their prisons captive: “While they say we live in peace, 152 Basque political prisoners kidnapped for fighting for the national and social liberation of Euskal Herria.” Thus, they have denounced that prisons are “an instrument for isolating, relegating and questioning revolutionary militants.” They have therefore called for amnesty as the only alternative, and have stressed that it is the “only alternative” to ensure that in future there will be no more Basque political prisoners.
