In the last week they have carried out at least five evictions in Erandio, Bilbao and Vitoria. On Thursday there were at least two evictions in Erandio. On Friday there were two evictions on Iturribide street in Bilbao and another in Vitoria on the same day.
In Erandio, the Ertzaintza expelled a person from one of the homes of CaixaBank and the agents rebelled to those who showed their support. The Bilbao Socialist Council denounced that the same day there was another eviction in that locality.
On Friday, eight migrants were expelled from two houses in a housing block in the bilbaíno district of Iturribide. The housing union AZET met with the Municipal Emergency Social Service to ask those who left him on the street to guarantee a home.
On the same day two people were expelled from a home in Vitoria. The Bizi Housing Network denounces that the owners did not want to hire, but had to accept it because of the "racist filters of owners and real estate". In all three cases, no notification of dismissal was received.
Eviction attempt at Anoeta
The same morning, the Tolosaldea Housing Union denounced the attempted eviction of a family in Anoeta (Gipuzkoa). He explains that dismissal communications were not received either because of the "unfortunate management of the institutions". Eviction was not carried out, but the union says that the family remains at risk of dismissal.
For its part, the Buruntzaldea Housing Union has denounced the risk of eviction of a family in Hernani. The date is set for 7 June and union members are calling for close support.
