The Rectorate of the UPV/EHU "rejects" the presumed espionage and studies report
- The Rectorate of the UPV/EHU in a statement has condemned "with the utmost firmness" the alleged case of espionage of the workers of the university center. Infolibre announced that, in Kitch’s case, the university’s chief of security passed information to the Spanish police about a UPV worker.
According to Naiz, the Rectorate of the UPV/EHU stated on Thursday that it "rejects as firmly as possible the alleged espionage of university staff" and recalled that "it is strictly forbidden to provide non-public data on university staff, unless these data are requested by court order".
He also points out that they know nothing about the leaks and that the university will denounce anyone acting illegally.
In a second point of the notification, "rejects" behaviors aimed at following the trajectory of certain people. He also considers that "the imputation of this leak to the trusted staff of the current rectoral team is a bad attitude and unfounded."
He concludes by saying that in addition to showing solidarity with people who have been "directly harmed", he will study the implementation of "administrative or judicial acts".
Kitch case
