The end of the course is near and, with it, the tests that students have to do to access the university are close. As it does every year, these access tests have been denounced by the Patriotic Students (IA) organization: “Selectivity is a tool to deepen the elitization of education, which serves as a social filter and increases individualism and competitiveness among students.” He also warns about the damage that these exams cause to the mental health of the students, and also recalls that in the North Basque Country there is no possibility of taking the access test, Bajo, in Basque.

The IA, for its part, highlights that this year the situation is even more serious due to the "instability that the new selectivity model has brought". "The students still don't have enough information," he explains: "They play with our future without taking into account the word and interests of the students."

In October of last year, don’t play with our future! Under the slogan, the IA carried out mass mobilizations in the capitals of the Southern Basque Country to denounce that the students still did not receive information about the new model of selectivity. The students also mobilized in different territories of the Spanish State, which is why the authorities were forced to say something: The Spanish Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Universities and the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE) indicated that they would publish all the study models of the new selectivity. However, as the WFD has recently stressed, the lack of information remains overwhelming.

Bank of notes and protests in the capitals

In view of the presence of access tests, in order to "combat individualism", the AI operates a bank of notes based on solidarity among students. In addition to this, in opposition to the "social filter", he has organized private classes in different regions of the Basque Country to prepare studies in collaboration.

As it has done in previous years, on the other hand, the AI will make concentrations on test days to say no to selectivity and low. The protests will take place in the capitals and concrete calls will be announced later by the organization.
