Sara will unite the multiple victims within the framework of the days of peace and coexistence in Vitoria
- Sara presented the conference “Human Rights, Solution, Peace”. Three roundtables will be held in Vitoria-Gasteiz from 28 to 30 November. “Coexistence, respect for the different, dialogue and sustained action are essential components for the activation of society,” they explain.
Sara’s goal is to activate the public, “with a view to crossing this path that starts with respect for human rights, until peace is achieved.” The conference aims to bring together all kinds of people to discuss the role that society can play in the solution. The speakers will include ETA, GAL and victims of dispersion, as well as people who have had a reputation in political and legal life, including former President Juan José Ibarretxe or Professor of Administrative Law Iñaki Lasagabaster.
Five years have passed since ETA began its definitive suspension of armed actions. For the member of the network, Sueño Martínez de Heredita, this “brought a new scenario to our country”. However, it has not evolved as expected. “We can say that prison policy is currently one of the few surviving violence in the context of the Basque conflict,” he said.
The round tables will be held at the Europa Palace in Vitoria-Gasteiz from 6:30 p.m.:
