Neither the Education Advisor, nor the Health Advisor: Cristina Uriarte and Nekane Murga are not going to have a place in the new Basque Government that has formed Iñigo Urkullu of the PNV, together with the PSE, and they have asked the Jeltzale leader Itxaso Atutxa for the reasons for the change. According to Atutxa, the replacement of these two positions is produced by "wear and tear" and "personal demands" of the ediles.

EH general coordinator Bildu, Arnaldo Otegi, is not of the same opinion: last Sunday the leader of the left Abertzale stated that the absence of these two counselors meant that the Basque Government accepted that “things have been done wrong” in these departments, which have been one of the weakest points of the Basque administration since the beginning of the coronavirus crisis.

Otegi also pointed out that behind the change of Environmental Advisor there is something similar, as Iñaki Arriola, who so far held that post, has been regarded by many as one of the political leaders hardest hit by the crisis in the Zaldibar landfill.

In response to these assertions, Atutxa has stated that the Basque Country lehendakari, Iñigo Urkullu, has "fully" supported the two people who have led the departments of Education and Health and their work. The changes, according to the head of BBB, are not due to poor management, but to personal demands, as well as to the wear and tear produced by the position.
