Ikama denounced that this teacher from Vitoria-Gasteiz has spread “fascist, transphobic, racist and Francoist messages” on various social networks, or supporters of the genocide that Israel is carrying out in Gaza. Here are some of these messages: “Hit it hard Israel, the worl with you!” (Give hard Israel, the world with you! ), “Grande Abascal, you have my vote” (...You are great Abascal, you have my vote), “...the bolleras who go to the left, who have less lights than a candle” (the bolleras who vote to the left, how shorter than what).

In all this, Ikama says that this is not “an isolated case, this is one of the direct consequences of the rise of fascist waves and reactionary values that are taking place today. It’s happening all over the world, and here in the Basque Country we can see clear signs of this.”

Ikama specifies that these are perceived as attacks and calls students to network in front of them. He also recalls a similar case that took place last September at the Leioa Campus of the UPV/EHU, where the teacher who disseminated fascist and misogynistic messages on social networks was expelled. Then the UPV decided that the teacher with this mentality could not dedicate himself to teaching at the university with such values and attitudes.

Ikama says that, as it was then, “the students will not remain silent” and until this teacher is expelled they will give a “firm response”: “Fascism cannot have a place in the education system.” This way, next Monday there will be sessions at the entrance of the Faculty of Pharmacy, the first at 13:00 and the second at 18:00.
