Katakrak publishes a double album and pamphlet on the occasion of the 10th anniversary
- From twelve books published by Katakrak in these years, several artists have created fifteen songs. On Monday the first two songs of Ibil Bedi and Los Chikos of Corn will be broadcast.
In December 2023, Katakrak of Pamplona turns 10. The project began with a hostel room, libraries and shows in 2016 with a fourth leg: the editorial. Throughout these years they have published numerous books, of which twelve have analyzed their theses and translated the lyrics to songs. Artists have created fifteen original songs and on Monday night they will start to see the light with the first two songs on the platforms.
The project is called: From the double LP, a 24-page libretto, with lyrics of songs in Basque and Spanish, a small text from the editorial line of Katakrak and three photographers in recordings. Almost all songs have been recorded in the main room of Katakrak, "in an unusual improvised studio with extraordinary dynamics."
In addition to the songs, the double album has fifteen specialized audios, selected from the Katakrak file, through which the connections between songs will be made. They can only be heard on disk.
Luxembourg and Randall
Based on works by Rosa Luxemburg and Dave Randall, the Navarros of Ibil Bedi and the Valencians of Los Chikos del Viejo have performed two songs, Anélido the first and 1520 Sedgwick Avenue the second.
Ibil Bedi presents the song on the tour of the new album, as seen in this video by Katakrak. For its part, Los Chikos del Plata has already published the music video of the song and within three days has received thousands of visits.
Pre-sale
Katakrak launched a pre-sale double-disc purchase until November 14, although not all songs will be heard. All will enter the end of November and, before 14 November, only four songs. The surprise remains, although in many images you can see that Fermin Muguruza or J Martina have been behind the project.
The first two songs will be released at midnight from 30 to 31 October.
