Police have murdered another African-American person in cold blood in the United States. Last Friday, images were brought out of a body camera worn by a police officer, in which it is clear how police forces in Columbus (Ohio) have killed a woman in front of a food store. The deceased girl was 21 years old and pregnant with Ta'Kiya Young.
After leaving the store, Young entered his car and at that point the video they have posted in the car park begins. Accused of stealing something, police officers ordered the girl to leave the car. They approached him and pressured him: he stole the store and repeated him to leave the vehicle while Young asked why. One of the agents was placed by the driver's door and the other by the car.
As you can hear from the video, Young insisted that he stole nothing and refused to leave the car. At that time, the police in front of the vehicle pointed at him with the gun and sent him out again. The woman's car started moving and the agent fired at her. Then the car slowly toured the car park until it hit the store. Young sees himself lying in the video in the chair of the co-pilot, dead.
Young's relatives report that what happened was a "serious abuse of power and authority." According to a study by Mapping Police Violence, between 2013 and 2022, one third of the people killed by the United States were African-American, although they account for only 13% of the total population. In 2022, police forces killed 1,201 people in the United States, compared with 26% of African Americans.

If you get it right, a gesture is probably more effective than a word. How many times have we said and canceled that a thousand words are worth more than an image. Forgive, it's the other way around. It's not how much each one is worth, it's why. Words for those who want to twist... [+]
