In the 50 years since the death of the Bilbao writer Gabriel Aresti, the EHKS organization has organized a full-day event in Bilbao, at the Campos Eliseos Theater, on Sunday, the 50th. Marx and Marxist.
According to the EHKS, Gabriel has been a "deformed and depoliticized" figure of Aresti, and with the day they wanted to emphasize his "communist character".For this purpose, several conferences have been organized.
For example, Iñaki Martínez de Luna, a sociolinguist and former President of Development, and Aitor Bizkarra, a member of the EHKS, spoke about immigration, Basque and Basque. In addition, Paul Beitia and Kattalin Bárcena reflect on the relationship between art and politics.
The day ended with the premiere at the Teatro Café in Bilbao of the play Segunda una futuro Gerti by the art platform Ekida. They wanted to stage the figure and the work of the writer, in order to reveal the conflicts and positions that he had within himself, combining music and theater. The next show will be on May 17th.
