“The ship Conscience was bombed today at 00:23 with drones in international waters near Malta. When, in order to denounce the siege and genocide being suffered by the Palestinian people, some fifty activists from all over the world had to set sail on their way to Gaza to introduce humanitarian aid by sea, the bow of the ship had been struck twice. They have caused a fire and a rupture in the hull.” This is what has been reported from the Freedom Flotilla initiative.
One of the entrepreneurs in Malta is the Basque citizen Mikel Zuloaga Mikelon. He told LAR in a telephone interview from Malta that at the time of the attack there was only the crew on board, the activists were on the ground waiting to be embarked. About 50 activists from 21 countries around the world were on board. They don’t know how many drones have taken part in the attack, but they claim to have been more than one. “They’ve broken the ship’s generator and made a hole in the hull.” At the time of the interview (Friday 11:10) the activists were not sure what the condition of the ship and the crew was because they had lost direct contact, but they believe that there are no injuries and that the ship is in danger of being submerged.
Zuloaga calls for the focus to be on the Palestinian situation and not on the ship or on the activists. It is the third time that Zuloaga suffers from the sabotage of the fleet, but he is shocked and angry, however. “Israel’s impunity is unbelievable. Previous approaches have been made, this time as in 2024 we thought they would pose technical problems to prevent the ship from sailing... but the ship has been bombarded, bombarded. If they do this here, what they won’t do in Palestine. It’s just brutality.” A statement from Zuloaga has been released from the Freedom Flotilla, click here to read it.

Dehumanization has penetrated deeply into the powers of the West, and they look with indifference to the holocaust that Gaza is suffering; in Gaza, if bombs do not kill you, you will die of hunger.
Now that our ship has been bombed it is a total impotence, we are well and we... [+]
