Erdogan wins the Turkish presidential candidates in the first round

With an absolute majority of the votes of Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Islamist AKP party, the second round will not take place. Despite the opposition being presented in the coalition, it has not succeeded in overthrowing Erdogan. The Supreme Electoral Commission published its results on Sunday, counting 97% of the votes.
Opposition spokesman Bulent Tecan said he should wait for votes in the cities on election night and added that there will be a second round on July 8. The opposition also denounces that Erdogan has manipulated the results. Erdogan calls on the opposition not to tarnish democracy “to cover up its defeat”, “not to hide the result”.
Legislative elections were also held and Erdogan’s party has won the majority with 42.4%. The CHP (the people’s republican, social democratic and secular party) warned of the damage of Erdogan’s victory in the campaign, that Turkey will have no future. For these, the overthrow of Erdogan is a priority, because with the results acquired he will be able to order by decree.
The Kurdish HDP party has surpassed the 10% barrier in the legislative elections and will be represented in parliament.
