On the occasion of the elections to the Gasteiz Parliament, the sovereign coalition has gathered the community in the Basque Country of Bilbao at the end of the week when it was known that the candidate for the presidency of EH Bildu will be Pello Otxandiano (Otxandio, Bizkaia, 1983), with the objective of agreeing the goals and the labor forces to present the presidency.
The lehendakari candidate Otxandiano is committed to trying to give his best version and, as his relatives pointed out last week, has expressed his "passion commitment". Show hope: "I think we have reason to look to the future with optimism and I am convinced that together, each of us, but together, we can do great things."
In addition, both Otxandiano and Otegi have highlighted that EH Bildu's political project "represents more than one sigla": "We are a community that we have committed to a country project."
Otegi: "The secret to our success is in values."
The general coordinator has been the main speaker of the hearing. EH Bildu has stressed that it is "the Left that unites" because it is "the house of reconciliation", and that the will and the will of the sovereign Left is to "bring more people and more sectors together".
"We are often asked what is the secret to our success internationally. The secret lies in our values," explains Otegi. And this list of values is published as follows: "We are a left conscious of our historical responsibility, moving away from frivolity. We are the left working with humility and maintaining the principles. We work a lot and get little noise. We are the left that keeps and respects the word."
Otegui has also spoken for Joseba Asirón, one of the hotbeds of the controversy and who is on his way to being mayor of Pamplona, and Bakartxo Ruiz and Maddalen Iriarte have also taken part in the Bilbao event. All of them undertake to continue working "from village to village, from neighborhood to neighborhood, with humility and a smile".
In addition to these voices, two significant invitees for EH Bildu, writer Joseba Sarrionandia and Catalan journalist and politician David Fernández have taken the floor.
40 years later, Álava was a Spanish feud. What has happened since for a change of this size, the undeniable victory of EH Bidu in the last elections?
This singular fact cannot be understood from an evolutionary process through which Spanish consciousness becomes Basque... [+]
The night of 21 April left quite clear results around the winning and losing election parties. As the Ortuzar have pointed out, voters have given the PNV a new opportunity and it has been the most voted party in the CAV; in Araba and Gipuzkoa the victory has been for EH Bildu,... [+]
As viewers and interested in teaching, as we continue with the election campaign, we are led by the concerts of the Municipal Band of our city, those concerts that we go every year. Musicians would be candidates for the presidency. The same scenario, all ordered, the same... [+]
On 21 April we held the Basque elections. Prior to the arrival of the elections, several media surveys were published, many times EH Bildu was considered winner, sometimes in votes and seats, others only in seats. This was a major change for the Basque Parliament elections,... [+]
“The most Abertzale parliament of all time” vs. “Independence is at the historical lows.” These two statements have been heard in recent times and have increased following the elections held on 21 April in Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa. These two phrases, considered as... [+]
