We have entered, we have been incorporated into the new academic and political course. And what do the Basques have to do from now on?
Catalonia is once again the centre of interest. To summarize in a way, with the aim of independence, since that popular referendum held in 2017 against the perverse waves of wind, and since it happened afterwards, we have also seen different and sometimes contradictions in the independence movement.
Now, taking stock, it seems that the Puigdemont line succeeds in this competition and that the Junqueras strategy has been a failure for the ERC, although at the time it wins the elections and retains for itself the presidency and the government of the Generalitat.
Why? A supposed progressive strategy of breaking support and negotiation with the Spanish government has left those of CKD in practice under their dominion and their hands tied.
On the contrary, the Puigdemont strategy, despite being aware of critical moments, has advanced in the confrontation declared with the Spanish State and its political centrality outside the State, in Europe, has not been merely symbolic. On the contrary, it has managed to get rid of the claws of the Spanish State and, incidentally, questioned this State before several nations within the European Union: Finland, Germany, Flanders and the Belgian State itself, Scotland and the United Kingdom, Sardinia and the Italian State…
Urkullu himself and his governments have long been in decline, and the invention of the last moment, in the style of the constitutional convention, is not going to come out of the sinking.
And now, thanks to this, it shows a very different position of strength before the Spanish State, in the process of forming a new government that is very evident to him. It remains to be seen how far that firm stand will go. In addition, it asks him to maintain this mobilized popular movement that wants to resume his path towards independence in Catalonia and, above all, organized around Diada and ANC.
That is why we have to learn the Basques. In Hego Euskal Herria, from the governments of Urkullu and Txibite we cannot make a positive balance. The ten long years of Urkullu in the presidency have not been a breakthrough in self-government, and there has been an evident impairment in social management, in the basic public sectors; today it maintains open crises both in the linguistic policy for the Basque Country and in the EITB, in the health system, in education, in the residential sector, in the infrastructures, in the Ertzaintza, in the inventions. In the case of Txibite, a revamped, too cheap controller keeps all the evils of the previous legislature, including painful discrimination against the Basque.
At a time when he reminded us of Lizarra Garazi, both PNV and EH Bildu are the main Basque parties that have something to analyse and correct for the future. Above all, however, we need strong public institutions throughout the Basque Country, in their respective areas, which are driving the strong Basque internationalisation on a daily basis. Dozens of public institutions are sending the Urkullu Government and EITB the Aldatu Script these days, quite rightly. We must also ask the nationalist parties to change the script. Looking forward, do not go back. Progress in Basque internationalization.

A fund for the State of Israel has bought most of the macrofestivals in the Spanish state. I'm talking about To. Whether it’s a festival with a beach side driveway or a festival with tattooed hardcorettes, an exchange of 1,400 million euros to build homes in Israeli colonies in... [+]
On the night of April 28, the terraces of Barcelona’s Badal Rambla were crowded; unrefrigerated beers were served, but people seemed happy. “If the end of the world has to come, let it catch us with joy,” a neighbor told me. For more than ten hours the electricity had... [+]
