Artificial intelligence knows in hattí
- The Hittite Empire was one of the major civilizations of the second millennium. Thousands of tablets written in hattie and cuneiform writing have arrived and are still more in the fields.
In these tablets there is a lot of information about the Hittites, but transcription and translation of the writings is a very slow task and many mistakes are made. Ankara University (Turkey) has launched a project to translate these breaks with artificial intelligence, much more quickly and less defects.
In total they want to decipher almost two thousand tablets, but they have started the initial phase with 500 texts and the researchers are very satisfied with the result: artificial intelligence has successfully translated 75.66% of the writings.
