Immense dimensions of repression
During the riots between the gendarmes and the activists, at the ZAD of Notre-Dame-des-Landes, a young man lost his hand. The defendant, in its entirety, has been exploited by a grenade lawfully used by the police. I thought about how hard it can be to put and hold responsibility in place: what I was doing in those incidents, where I was in, I didn't measure the risk well.
The young people of Orereta, arrested last year in the incidents in Pamplona, may think the same thing. Perhaps the suffering inflicted on those who love them is even slower. How can a prisoner who has lost what came to visit him in a car accident rebuild his life? How difficult it is never to forget who is to blame!
In recent times, another form of severe psychological repression has increased: randomness, because justice has become a Russian roulette. Altsasu is the most serious but by no means the only case. We have anti-terrorism laws, gross laws and other laws that are specifically designed to deactivate political organization. And with these laws, they do whatever they like. From the acquittal to the penalty of 65 years in jail anything. And two years unknowingly. Senseless processes and punishments for some and a bullet for all in the gun.
