At the beginning of October we learned about the winners of this year’s prestigious Nobel Prize winners and the IG Nobel Prize winners. The former have a great social echo; the latter do not, but they make us laugh. This year the prizes in honour of the absurd have been distributed as follows.

In physiology, research has been rewarded showing that the yawning of the turtle species Geochelone carbonaria is not contaminant.

In chemistry, he has analyzed how much of the famous Japanese green mustard, wasabi, should be spread in a room in case of an emergency. In psychology, curiosity is rewarded for knowing why we suspend every day.
