Thus says the tweet spread by Rementeria: “Andoni is a fishmonger on the Barakaldo market. He wakes up at 4.30 p.m., takes care of the post and works in another store in the afternoon. Close the shutter at 10 p.m. He doesn’t complain, he doesn’t ask for help, he just asks for ideas.”

Andoni, the fishmonger, begins to make fame on the net, as there are hundreds of answers that Rementeria has received. Very critical, in humor and in bad blood. Many have been thrown into mathematics. According to the day described by Rementeria, Andoni would have six and a half hours each day to sleep, as well as to cover all non-employment needs. Many others have accused the Txio de Rementeria of exalting the model of the joyful slave, as Andoni advances with sweetness and without asking for help. On other occasions, they have denounced the criminalisation of persons receiving basic income and public benefits. In short, they have pointed to the Deputy General and the PNV as the neoliberal Basque right.

On the left and small local trade

The fact that the fishmonger is from Barakaldo has also motivated the comments. In the Left Margin, poverty indicators are historically above the Basque Country average. Barakaldo's unemployment rate in April was 13.3%, according to Lanbide, two and a half points higher than that of the CAV. Andoni works in small businesses and one of the traffickers of Rementeria’s tweet is #Commerciolocal (“local trade”). Many tuiters have recriminated his attitude when the PNV in general, and especially in the Left Margin, makes policy in favour of the department stores and the multinationals. If all this were not enough, the photo that accompanies the tweet of Rementeria is not from Barakaldo but from the Casco Viejo de Bilbao, as several tuiters from the Left Margin have reported.

And of course, many Internet users have linked it directly to the election campaign. They have called on the PNV not to vote, and there are not many who have expressed concern that Rementeria receives the votes of Andoni Ortuzar and many others.

Meanwhile and taking advantage of his fame, a fake fishmonger, Andoni, has created his own account on Twitter (@Arrantzdoni_4_30). It has been presented with irony: “Fishmonger. Precarious. I also make the grain in a store. I sleep little...”. Her Tweets have brought her a large number of followers in a short time.
