After 28 years in prison, with almost complete conviction, Mikel Gil Cervera, a Basque prisoner in the Chantrea district of Pamplona/Iruña, has been released.
Gil was arrested in the French State in 1992 and extradited to Spain in 2000, according to Europa Press. The prisoner of eta was in prison since 2009 for a serious illness, until he was released on Thursday.
