Before the premiere of the animated film 'Lur eta Amets', a children's show in town
- The film that will help children to make the history of Euskal Herria known will be released in the theaters on February 7. Previously, the program will visit various towns and cities of Euskal Herria in shows related to the animated film.
In two months' time, the Basque animated film Lur eta AMETS will be premiered in theaters. Previously, the brothers and sisters protagonists of the film will visit many towns and cities to present the film and offer a spectacle full of adventures and suspend.
Lur eta Amets aims to tell the history of Euskal Herria “from our point of view”, as the stories of the same title have done. The project, promoted by the Federation of Ikastolas, Katxiporreta and the editorial Elkar, was launched in 2015 with the book Lur eta Amets, Euskal Herrian history and then nine stories and table games have been published.
The film will be the next step in that path and also the spectacle that will be presented at the hand of this production. Before premiering in theatres, the show Lur eta AMETS will be seen this weekend in Arrasate (January 10), Bilbo (11) and Altsasu (12).
The next few weeks will not stop: on 17 January they will visit Eibar, on 18 Vitoria-Gasteiz, on 19 Getxo, on 22 Pamplona, on 29 Donostia-San Sebastián, on 31 Barakaldo and on 1 February Beasain.
Film for the whole family
Joseba Ponce and Imanol Zinkunegi have been in charge of directing the animated film that will be premiered in theaters on 7 February. The Federation of Ikastolas, Elkar and Lotura Films, which have participated in the production, have explained that this is a work aimed at children and families.
In the film we will see the twin brothers Lur and Amets, who go home to their grandmother to spend the weekend with her because her parents are married. Upon arriving, however, thanks to the powers of her grandmother and her cat Baltasar, Lur and Amets embark on a journey that will bring them to know different times and times, through the history of their evil friends and enemies.
