The magazine 'Pueblo 2000 Eliza' ends its journey after 40 years
- On the occasion of its 40th anniversary, the magazine Pueblo 2000 Eliza, in the Santutxu district of Bilbao, will publish its latest issue.
Pueblo 2000 Eliza is a bilingual magazine (in Basque and Spanish) created in 1978 around the Catholic citizen movement in the Basque Country. It was created together with the group of the same name by the Christian Citizen Association and the Coordinating Priest of the Basque Country.From a liberating Christian point of view, it carries out a critical analysis of the events and trends in the Basque Country and the world, focusing in particular on peace and human rights.
In addition to the publication of the magazine, the Pueblo 2000 Eliza group has also carried out other initiatives such as books, congresses, forums, conferences.Sedea Santutxu has been in the Bilbao neighborhood and after 40 years they have decided to finish the project.
For this reason, on June 22, at the Municipal Headquarters of La Bolsa in Bilbao, during the press conference that will take place at 11:00 am, the participants of the magazine will say goodbye to the magazine. There will be Txema Erdozain, Felix Placer and Jexuxmari Zalakain, who explain the decision taken by the veteran magazine and show their contribution over the four decades.
