And that is the thought we have put on the table to decide how we should act in the local and foreign elections on 28 May. Because, in view of what we have experienced, there is no lack of reason, no desire to go to vote, to abstain. But is that the most effective attitude in this political phase of the liberation process? Do we not be pushed into that thinking by the current corrupt conventional policy or the political practice that EH Bildu has sometimes taken or the inexplicable decisions he has made without a real explanation?

It is certain that the political practice, the communication lines, which EH Bildu has led in recent years to capture new sectors of Basque society, has attracted some Basques, but also other members. And if it wasn't enough, for many young people, this new evolution hasn't been anything attractive. It remains to be seen how the political outcome of this behaviour, not just electoral, will be in the future. There are many doubts about that.

The main objective of EH Bildu is the formation of a wide and plural accumulation of forces for the liberation process of the Basque Country, creating new opportunities to advance through reforms. Because without this social majority and regardless of the hegemony, the Basque republic cannot be channelled with the citizens, nor can it overcome all kinds of obstacles that the states are going to put on us. And although there have been decisions that we do not like and that have sometimes been wrong on that road, we do not believe that the weakening of EH Bildu through abstention at this political stage is an appropriate decision, because it is essential to have a central political force for the role it has to play.

Another thing, and very different, is to think that the main corrector of the liberation process and the only one in practice has been EH Bildu and that, therefore, according to the criteria of EH Bildu and the institutional and electoral interests, we must subordinate all the social, union and political dynamics existing in Euskal Herria.

As we said at the beginning, the process of liberating our country is too complicated to channel it with a single instrument or principal structure. And in that we don't think we're right. We believe that there is only one analysis of the outcome of the political practice and the ideological struggle that has guided the strategy of the Abertzale Left in recent years, to see that we are wrong. On the one hand, we have regressed in the national and class struggle. On the other hand, the plurality network of the social-political organization for liberation has been greatly weakened. Finally, the popular movement and social dynamics are on the street at the lowest point, while institutional and electoral dynamics are imposed. Consequently, the subordinate and hegemonic temptation of EH Bildu is clear.

The post, instrument or principal structure lacking in the present liberation process cannot be EH Bildu, it is the revolutionary instrument that the Abertzale Left has always had in favor of independence and socialism. The strategic direction of this revolutionary structure or instrument would be above institutional and electoral interests, it has a clear character as a citizen counter-argument, it would approach the confrontational, disobedient, independence, feminist, socialist, Basque and internationalist political practice in the path of the Basque socialist republic. In short, what we lack is an autonomous revolutionary instrument of a clear Basque anti-capitalist nature, which would not be subordinated to anyone.

We believe that we must start working on the articulation of this Basque anti-capitalist area after 28 May. And along that road we have to understand that the strengthening of EH Bildu in the current political phase of the liberation process is also necessary to create a Basque socialist republic, although not sufficient. Reinforce and correct the shortcomings and deficiencies it has had, of course.

So we will vote on 28 May to EH Bildu, our critical vote, and on 29 May we will continue to work together with many people working in the social, trade union and political dynamics to create that Basque anti-capitalist area, working together, convergence, unity of action and transversality to guide the national and social liberation strategy of this country. Because, being indispensable, it is not enough.
