Martutene prison will be emptied next year
- The Mayor of San Sebastian, Eneko Goia, explained that next year will be the eviction of the Martutene prison and the implementation of the second phase of the Txomiñenea project. This has been done by Goia, at a press conference after the Local Government Board, in explaining the forecasts for next year.
The mayor confirms that this has been communicated by the Government of Spain. Completion of Zubieta prison for access to Martutene neighbours. Goia explains that the social work of the Eskusaitzeta prison has been completed and that there is only a lack of equipment from the prison.
For the second half of 2024, Martutene’s prisoners will be transferred to Zubieta. Goia then says that the homes and equipment provided for in Txomiñenea will begin.
