A total of 100,000 diptics were distributed at home, with the official anagram of the Basque Government, announcing subsidies for the purchase of housing at VPO price.
The leaflet said that banks joining this programme would give mortgage loans on favourable terms to buyers. He recalled that in Araba, Bizkaia and Gipuzkoa there were 105,000 empty houses and offered for further information the 012 telephone, the real service telephone of the Housing Department of Lakua.
It was an initiative of the Giltza association to denounce that developers, properties and builders speculated with a fundamental right such as housing, “with the passivity and complicity of the institutions”.
