I mean, torture on the banner. Torture inflicts severe damage on the tortured person. You may lose your hair, or your energy, or your breath (both momentarily and definitively).

These are not, however, the most serious damages that torture can cause to the torturer, even if they are not obvious, since they are much more profound.

But the greatest damage is done by torture to the system, which leaves some door, window or slot open for torture. They say it's because it's under control that the only violence that can be tolerated is that of the state. Torture, however, is a black horror alien to all controls. A State that considers itself democratic should do everything it can and more to make it impossible even to suspect that it is being tortured in its territory.

It is disappointing to see that the demonstrations against torture are attended only by people around the tortured. Those who get drunk on the word democracy should be at the head of this kind of demonstration, holding the banner – and, by the way, coherence.
