With the help of volunteers, Amnesty International has conducted a Twitter research to analyze the situation of women in the CAV and Navarra. The accounts of 778 tuiterist women from the United Kingdom and the United States have been analyzed, totaling more than 280,000 tweets, all published throughout 2017.
According to the data collected, 7.1 per cent of tweets received by these women were inadequate and could be classified as sexual assault. That is, these women receive every 30 seconds a tweet that can be considered aggression or harassment. Tweets have identified both "aggressive" (killings, racist persecution, etc.) as "problematic" (such as "going dishes to purification").
In the case of non-white women, aggression has increased by 34 per cent and racist comments have increased by 84 per cent.
