This is the second time that we have organized the Screenings exercise. This was also done in the context of Euskaraldia, and they want to take advantage of the momentum of this initiative that extends to the whole of the Basque Country, since Euskaraldia will start on the 15th. The objective of the exercise is twofold, on the one hand, to encourage the consumption and creation of audiovisuals in Basque and, on the other hand, to invite public institutions to “take steps in favor of Basque”, given the scarcity of production in Basque in the context of screens. The challenge for citizens is to live on screens for ten days in Basque. The organization asks the participants to consume and create television, streaming platform, cinema, social networks and videogames in Basque. Register on the website pantailakeuskaraz.eus/pantailaldia and the participant will receive a list of digital audiovisual resources in Basque, as well as an agenda proposal to help them meet the challenge in ten days.
In the 2022 edition, 500 people participated. 77% were exposed to new Basque resources during these days and 64% said that the challenge served to change their language habits when creating and consuming audiovisuals.
Screens Euskaraz, the organizing agent, will be supported by several agents: LUZ, Grupo Berria, Hamaika TB, Kanaldude, Tinko Euskara Elkartea, zinea.eus, Game Erauntsia elkartea, Euskal Encodings and zernonikusi.eus.

Screens in Basque has also provided several ideas to do throughout the week. On the one hand, people have been encouraged to share experiences that have been consumed and created by audiovisual content in Basque for only ten days in the hashtag #pantalla. On the other hand, a search on the website zernonikusi.eus has recommended that you find content that you like in Basque on platforms, Youtube and cinemas. Third, the Basques have been invited to watch TV in Basque, ETB1, ETB3, Hamaika TV, Kanaldude, Perfecta, Makusi and Local Basque Television.
Screened in issue 2916 of the weekly LUZ, written by Gorka Peñagikarano Goikoetxea. It is not enough to create, if the habits do not change, the report can be read. As of May 7, it will also be in argia.eus. Peñagprozano reports on the audiovisual situation in Basque, for which he has been accompanied by two members of Pantalas en Euskara, Zer Non Ver y Azpitituluak.eus.
