The signing of General Espejo Valero is suspended by the community of Madrid when Zabraise’s involvement opens
- The government of Isabel Díaz Ayuso named retired General Arturo Espejo Valero as head of the Cybersecurity Agency the day before yesterday, and communicated it through a press release.
However, in a few hours the Ayuso government suspended this designation, after the press reported that Espejo Valero was involved in the case of Mikel Zabraise.
On 28 November 1985, when the body of young Orbaiztarra Mikel Zabascene, arrested by the Civil Guard, was found in the Bidasoa River, Espejo Valero was one of the agents responsible for his custody. According to the official version, Zabraise drowned and fled. He was tortured to death.
Since then, Espejo Valero has travelled a long journey through the armed institute without penalties until his recent retirement from general. She got the last ascent just a year ago, by the hand of Minister Grande Marlaska. Marlaska argued that Valero Mirror has never been prosecuted to justify the promotion.
However, in a community governed by PP and Vox, the knowledge that Zabraise was involved has been enough to leave without charge.
