'Political repression today' round table in Tafalla
- The speakers will be four people charged for different reasons: Oier Araiz of Tafalla’s Brindise, Alfredo Ramírez, member of the popular platform Libre de Altsasu and Axier López, journalist of LUZ.
The round table is organized by the 3ak platform of Brindise. It will take place at the Cultural Center of Tafalla on Friday at 6 p.m.
Oier Arnie will speak on behalf of the 3 of Brindise. Gorka has been tried together with Labat and Fernando Sota at the Audiencia Nacional for his participation in the traditional pro-prisoner toast at the Tafalla festivities last summer. The prosecutor’s office has demanded a two-year prison sentence, three years of probation, nine years of disqualification and a fine of 4,800 euros.
The speakers will also include members of the Altsasu Libre platform. Nine youths were prosecuted for the events that took place on October 15 in Altsasu. They are charged with the "crime of terrorism" for attacking the Civil Guards and their partners and three of them are in prison.
Alfredo Ramírez @erreharria, a Twitter user who has been tried at the National Audience for writing on social media, will also participate. He is sentenced to two years in prison, five years of probation and sixteen years of disqualification.
There will also be Axier Lopez, a journalist from LA LUZ. Mozal was sanctioned under the Law with a fine of 601 euros for reporting an operation carried out by the Spanish police in the street. The Spanish government suspended the fine in early March.
