On 22 December the Azpeitia Elkar-Ekin group organised a special initiative to denounce the genocide in Israel and to show solidarity with the Palestinians. In the town square they remember the thousands of Palestinians who have been killed since 7 October. More than 18,000 people have already died and 4,000 of them have been remembered by 200 citizens.
The initiative lasted five hours, from 15:30 to 20:30, and by this Christmas we heard the names of the deceased by the speakers installed in the streets of the town. Many Arabs have participated in this solidarity initiative.
