According to the Ukrainian authorities, Sheliazhenko justifies the attack on Russia and has therefore opened its dispute. However, the defences of deserters in Ukraine and Russia feel that this is not true because he and his movement have always made clear their position against the Russian attack. According to these institutions, the only evidence presented by the authorities against it is that it belongs to the leadership of the Ukrainian Pacific Movement.

Several pacifist associations in the world against war are conducting the campaign for Sheliazhenko, including the International Movement of Resistant Wars. For him, Yuri Sheliazhenko is a prisoner of conscience who is only imprisoned for peacefully expressing his peaceful views; the Ukrainian authorities should release them immediately and unconditionally and, in turn, eliminate all allegations against him.”

Concentration in Pamplona

This Thursday a rally will be held in Pamplona on the Sarasate Promenade at 19:30 to stop the war and ask for the freedom of Yuri Sheliazhenko.
