14 January 1919,
Rosa Luxembourg published her last article in Rote Fahne, the day before her murder. His title was ‘Order has prevailed in Berlin’, referring to the failure of the Spartanchist uprising. He reaffirmed his commitment to the revolution and claimed, as after the failure of other proletarian revolutions, that they would rise again. The next day, extreme right-wing paramilitaries Freikorps, at the orders of the German Social Democratic government, would die alongside Karl Liebknecht.
