The Basque Museum of Photography Photomuseum in Zarautz will be hosting the first part of the exhibition entitled Towards the image of the Movement until 22 July. The exhibition consists of tools and photographs acquired by the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa and Gipuzkoa Donostia Kutxa from a family from the Basque Country. In this first exhibition we can find 45 types of objects that lead us to the beginnings of photography: the praxinoscope (in the photo), the physiopath, the phenacitoscope, the zootrope, the graphoscope... The museum has also collected information on the history of each object. On the other hand, Photomuseum announced yesterday the agreement signed with the Provincial Council of Gipuzkoa (18). Thanks to this agreement, the museum will receive an annual grant of 48,000 euros. More information: www.photomuseum.name.
