A total of thirteen cases of physical, psychological and sexual violence have been reported in these three centres between 1960 and 2005. The five men who have appeared during the apparition have said that the facts will already be prescribed, but for them this is not the most important. In their ranks, denouncing attacks helps them feel better and that society is aware of what has happened.

After the attacks of the Betharram school in Biarno were revealed, denunciations have increased here and there, among others in the Northern Basque Country.

In the wake of this, the victims of the Uztaritz attacks opened an account on Facebook, where they have already collected complaints from 180 people. Gilles Parente, who acts as spokesperson for the Uztaritz, believes that it would be very important for those who suffered the attack to acquire the status of victims, with a view, among other things, to their care.

According to Parente, these accusations have been made by five men, but they have also heard of two other men who were attacked, who, for the time being, will not denounce them because they have not gathered enough strength to do so.

Ives is one of that quintile, and New has thus received his testimony: “Knowing that a group was formed, I joined because it’s good for us to share what we lived. I've mentioned it about myself, but it's so violent what I was saying... I thought they didn’t believe me.”

The newspaper reports that in addition to these five men, another woman who did not give her name approaches the court. He did not suffer any attack, but he wanted to report on what he saw in the school of Uztaritz between 2002 and 2005.
