The first names of the Euskadi Awards were announced today by the Deputy Minister of Culture, Education and Youth of the Basque Government, Joxan Muñoz. Uxue Alberdi has received the award for children's and young people's literature in Basque for her work Abrada (Batu). Mitxelko Uranga received the Tartaroa Essay Award in Basque. With the book Pain, Power and Truth (Pamiela).
The vice-minister has also presented two other awards in Spanish of the Euskadi Awards, the illustration by Mikel Casali for Así es la dictadura (Media Vasca) and the illustration by Fernando Mikela for Sin piedad. The rest of the awards will be announced next week by the Basque Government and the ceremony will take place on November 17 in San Telmo, San Sebastián.
