When we talk publicly about torture, we realize how much society embraces the opinion that the “system” itself puts into effect on this issue. It uses a wide range of ministers and advisers, judges and experts, all with the help of the organic media, of course. And it has to be said: you achieve your goal. In Spanish democracy there is no torture, no torture. That's the result. The reason is axiomatic and frightening. “In Spain and the Basque Country there are no torture because they cannot be proved.”

Despite seeing many amazing things in this strange democracy, both in Madrid and in Pamplona and Vitoria-Gasteiz we still have a lot to do.

Even at the time of Francoism, torture and murder could not be demonstrated. So no, but now yes, some “forever” Democrats, not all, have just begun to regret, but many others have not. Looking back, reproaching that they threaten democracy.

We are not the only ones who live in such situations. The political race of “winners” is universal and its ideological initiation has such results. Gas chambers, sterilizations, etc., also in concentration camps of Hitler's time. There was no way to test it. A “neutral” commission in Germany, led by a Swede, conducted an investigation. He found nothing. Therefore, Goebbels could not conceal that those allegations were slanderous to harm the Third Reich.

But in 1945, the Soviet Army discovered those realities that apparently did not exist and could not be proved. And of course, then they did exist.

Something similar will happen in a few years' time, here in Euskal Herria. We will then know today what is impossible, why in our small country we are so many of ETA, and in Spain, on the contrary, none of the LAGs.

Felipe González's PSOE did not know how to distance itself from the members of the GAL, and now instead of moving away from the covert violence, pp uses the political resources it generates. You know, you're used to cheating.

Is it a simple question, perhaps Mr Goebbels, like Hitler and Franco, knew nothing? The same has happened with F. Gonzalez and all the other presidents, nobody knows anything.

Decades later, we sat in front of television, and we all saw the Holocaust. Impossible to prove. What the investigation had not witnessed. Slander was invented to harm the third Reich.

In the Spanish State, as the Soviet army has not yet entered, we will have to follow other ways of ending the plague that so well protects the system. But in the meantime, Spanish democracy is going to keep theirs, torture, feeding the hidden damn guardian of the system. These are some of the consequences of the breakdown of Franco.

I think we all know that when we reform what we have we do so with the intention of maintaining it. That is why in Spanish democracy, such as the Franco regime, the law that prevents torture from proving torture, is the one that has been given with all the blessings of “democratic” political parties. In my opinion, even if there were no torture, by itself, and no more, a wreck and cruel elimination of human rights. In democratic or fascist states, it doesn't matter.

It is not the citizen – who is asked to vote from time to time – who has to close the doors to torture and who has to try to ensure that there is no torture. It is a task of the State. Prisons and torture are the “thermometer” of democracy. As the nature of the law shows the form of the legislator, the true nature of the State is manifested in it.

However, if democracy is based on human rights and dialogue, the laws place the prisoner, tortured, outside dialogue and human rights. Therefore, outside democracy, outside the state.

So what's not a person is not a person. A State that could “dehumanize” the person is not the State of Humanity. What democracy, therefore, or what state, that the prisoners, tortured, and who join their sufferings, must defend against the attack on terrorism? Why defend ourselves, a democracy that does not defend us?

In prison, it is the solidarity of strangers that slowly heals broken bones and flattened meats. But, on the other hand, it is this cynicism that always appears transparent, just and “peaceful”, which causes an impotence cry on the cold nights of the prisoner. A bitter source of rage and despair. He who destroys the soul. And finally, violence as a generator. Yes, sir, inspiring violence.

Life in jail is long. The tortured, in the end, will come to hate those who, rather than himself, in his own powerlessness, should help, but those who despise him. “The Democrats of Always” and the democracy of the Democrats of Always.

Democracy of political parties and conventions. Electoral and parliamentary democracy. Democrats who have been corrupting democracy for so many years with total impunity at the height of power.

At the expense of yesterday’s torture, which today, by shouting, has managed to appear in images of martyrs. Those who are asked for evidence of their torture, after having been charged by them.

Although what I have said so far is undeniable, some say that we can be faced with something else. As we were recently informed, the statements that the police have obtained "by itself" are to be annulled. Okay, suppose you're going to do your word, but you haven't made any reference to the isolation of the detainees. They therefore maintain the mandatory protection of torture of different kinds; the isolation of detainees.

I believe that in the twenty-first century, in order to maintain its system, the state it needs of the torturers should not have a place within Europe.
