With the unanimous approval of the City Council, the Pamplona City Council will present itself as a private accusation in the trial of sexual assault on July 7. In a statement, he said that “eradicating these practices” is the priority of the City Council, which has specified that it will use “all available resources” to prevent attacks.

The five attackers were arrested after the images of the street camera frames coincided with the description made by the assailant. During the trial, they are imprisoned without a fiance. One of the attackers is the Civil Guard; another is the professional military. Now the city will fight them.

To find out what happened, Mayor Joseba Asiron meets with officers who participated in the arrests. The operation was carried out jointly by the local police and the Foral; Asirón congratulates both institutions.

The mayor said that “in the fight against this plague” Pamplona should be a reference. In this way, it calls on the population to be “actively involved” in the face of attacks. It is also committed to ensuring social support and legal advice for victims.

Three detainees over the weekend

The police arrested three people over the weekend on charges of sexual assault. Another person was also arrested on charges of beating the partner of a woman who had been sexually assaulted.

The Peñas de Pamplona have called for a rally on Monday afternoon in the Plaza del Castillo to denounce these attacks.
