'Above obstacles to freedom': Ernai calls for demonstration on April 17

On 17 April, on the occasion of the International Day of Political Prisoners, Ernai organized a conference and a political event on the theme of Basque Political Prisoners. The UPN has filed a complaint with the Spanish National Court. As a result, Ernai’s speeches and events will be watched by both the Spanish National Police and the Civil Guard.
The initiatives had to be organized in the music school that bears the name of Francisco Casanova, but as a result of the denunciation, Ernai will have to do them outside of it. The UPN states in relation to the decision of the Spanish National Court: "We don't think it's enough because the City Council of Berriozar shouldn't have given them municipal space. They continue to humiliate their victims." The UPN filed a complaint "in defense of the victims of terrorism."
In addition to making music outside the school, any initiative organized by Ernai in relation to the incident will be monitored by both the Civil Guard and the Spanish National Police, as happened during the press conference of the call for the demonstration. The demonstration will take place in Berriozar on April 17 at 18:00, starting from the Plaza Dinantes de Navarra.

Ernai points out that the ultra-right sectors, which "only cause discomfort" in the face of this, have launched an "operation". He denounces these "attacks" that have been carried out "gradually", with the intention of "criminalizing the meeting point by the hand of both Ernai and young people". As a result, the organization reports that several members of Ernai do not have guarantees of "safety and security."
In this way, while denouncing that a "complete strategy" is underway, he has broadened his call to join the demonstration. "Now with more force than ever, the proclamation of freedom will cross the streets of Berriozar," the organization said.
