Aroa Arrizubieta became interested in the bertsolarismo course at the Armentia school, taught by Uxue Díaz de Cerio. He then moved on to the Berchilika School of Verses, where he began to train more with Maddi Gallastegi. He participated in the inter-school verse meeting of 2013 and won the Alava inter-school for the first time in 2016.
