“For years, in the consultation work, I have seen people with skin diseases, and in many cases they were not natural or natural, but industrial cosmetics,” explained Larrea argia.eus in an interview that can be read on the web. The World Health Organization warns that the synthetic components used by large companies, and not so large, to produce creams and other products cause damage to the bodies of many people. Imagine that every day, on average, we incorporate toxic tissues through industrial cosmetics. “If people are not aware of this, the book’s work will make it visible, but also give the reader a number of criteria for them to be taken into account when buying cosmetics,” he explains.
Another issue that is rarely questioned when talking about cosmetics is compulsory beauty. Cosmetics with medicinal plants have taken this into account, above all, because they have not wanted to feed the beauty canons that prevail in the book. “This canon of beauty that they want to sell us is ephemeral and behind there is a kind of dictatorship, not respecting diversity, old-age phobia…”, says Larrea. And that's also where a lot of ecofriendly products fall, which are defined as "natural cosmetics." So don't wait for books that give you wonderful tricks to prevent aging. But yes, the keys for yourself to learn how to prepare healthy and sustainable cosmetics.
There is good news for those who believe that making cosmetics at home is a very complicated and expensive process. “In the book, for example, we have collected the formula of the cream that is easy for the body. With six ingredients we can make cream for two people throughout the year, for which it takes about half an hour,” explains Larrea. As for the care and cleaning of the skin, he stressed that few products are needed in themselves, and that is what we have to seek, as far as possible, to adapt to what we have.
Larrea insists that the market for essential oils should be kept in mind, because there are many scams and synthetic essential oils have been the most prevalent. “If you use them, you’re making a harmful cosmetic product at home,” he adds. We now have a perfect tool to deal with traps and frauds and look for autonomy in cosmetics. Outside the beauty canon, but it's really a beautiful book.
