Josu Urrutikoetxea, in serious condition
- The family has made known the state of health of Urrutikoetxea, as reported by the Basque Department of Security. The patient has not undergone surgery within one month due to the severity of the operation.

The family visited the Basque political prisoner Josu Urrutikoetxea, imprisoned by eta, for the first time on Wednesday. In statements to Berria, Egoitz Urrutikoetxea described as "serious" the state of health in which the prisoner is located.
Urrutikoetxea was arrested on 16 May when he was about to undergo surgery in a hospital. He was seriously ill, had not eaten for days and could not urinate. During detention, the doctors stated that the operation was to be carried out within one month. Two and a half months have passed, and no date has yet been set for the operation.
