They claim no one is illegal on the streets of Donostia
  • No one is illegal. Under the motto "all rights for all people", on 2 February they held a demonstration. The protest departed from the Boulevard at 12:00 hours and resumed along the streets of downtown. About thirty agents from Donostia-San Sebastian and Donostialdea who work in the defense of the rights of migrants joined the call and demanded that administrations assume the responsibility of “offering a dignified welcome” to migrants and “respecting their rights as people”.

All the actors who have joined the initiative have joined four principles, as explained by Uxue Ruiz Romo of Txantxafría: No one is illegal. All those here who live and/or work must be entitled to all rights. All migrants are entitled to a decent reception, even more so those in a vulnerable situation. It is up to the institutions to ensure that all rights and decent reception are guaranteed. In the communiqué, the organizers of the march wanted to highlight the "precarious" situation experienced by migrants in the city: “During the summer the issue gained strength, but in recent months it is happening in silence. However, the situation remains the same. You only have to visit the streets of Donostia, Tabakalera, Txantxarreka… to see how precarious the situation of migrants is.” In addition, they have denounced the "neglect" of the institutions and pointed out that the current situation is the result of a "practice and a xenophobic, racist and chauvinist discourse" fed for years. The list of agents who joined the demonstration is as follows: Bilgune Feminist de Donostia, Askapena, Txantxafrika, LAB, Ongi Etorri Errefuxiatuak, Zergatik ez?, The San Sebastian Citizen Reception Network, Ernai, the Feminist Assembly of San Sebastian, sortu, Irutxuloko Hitza, the Irun Reception Network, the self-managed spaces of San Sebastian (Txantxarreka, Letaman, Kijera, Firestone), Antigua otarrak, Satorpe
