Iñaki García Koch participated in the struggle of solidarity against the drowned dam in full swing. Before, however, he had also been involved in movements of occupation and disobedience, including the movement around the famous Basque Festival in Pamplona. Together with several other friends, he decided to respond with direct action against the Itoto dam, which was being built illegally two decades ago. They made him pay earnestly for this election, because he had known the prison and the bush.

Last January 4th, the charity died in Agoitz at the age of 53. Radio Euskalerria has been told by his friend Julio Villanueva that the years of imprisonment “marked” him in particular and that he may be linked to this death.

Thanks for the trip, friends and family will pay tribute on Saturday. In the morning the event is organized in the Campo de Torr, followed by a self-managed lunch and finally a tribute in the Plaza del Mercado de Agoitz in the afternoon.
